An inclusive day camp for children with Down syndrome and their brothers and sisters

Sun Camp is a summer day camp for children with Down syndrome and their siblings entering grades K-6. (Children with similar conditions and their siblings may register at Sun Camp’s discretion.) This will be a one-week program on the SF Peninsula. It will run from 9 am-2 pm.

We will focus on building long-term friendships and building interest and skills in a variety of activities.

We aim for a staff-to-child ratio of 1:2. Campers who need a 1:1 may need to bring a helper--please consult Rachel. There will be 14 camper spots available. Sun Camp will be partially subsidized by fundraising through tax-deductible donations to our project through our fiscal sponsor, Social Good Fund, to keep camp affordable and safe for our kids, as camp fees only represent some of the actual costs.

If you are paying in installments, set up the payments first, and then contact Rachel Matta (below) for the code to access registration.

Please contact Rachel Matta, Founder, at rachel@suncampfriends.org or 650-787-4463 if you have questions. (Se habla español.)

Registration ends May 10th. A minimum number of campers, 5, must be met to run the camp.

We’re looking forward to camp!
